Mock Interviews

Mock InterviewPIC career specialists focus on job readiness skills with high school students throughout the year, and interviewing skills are a key component.

Mock interviews offer students the opportunity to practice interviewing and sharpen their skills. Employers and community volunteers serve as the interviewers and provide feedback to the student and career specialist on the following skills:

  • Verbal communication
  • Non-verbal communication
  • Appearance
  • Attitude
  • Maturity

A student who make a favorable impression during an interview has a better chance of winning a job. With a more competitive labor market for teenagers, it is critical that students learn to hone this skill.
