CityLab Academy
CityLab Academy (CLA) at the Boston University School of Medicine is a free two-semester program leading to a certificate in Biomedical Laboratory Science plus 12 undergraduate credits from Boston University's Metropolitan College. CLA graduates can continue working toward a two or four year degree and/or find employment in a biomedical lab setting.
The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) collaborates with CityLab Academy to enroll Boston Public School students - especially those who have an interest in science and possess strong math skills. PIC and CLA staff provide students with support and assistance to ensure their success in CLA and beyond, including tutoring, mentoring, internship and job placement, and college transfering.
